Veterans Community Project
St. Louis

In honor of John Joseph Smythe, the "Johnny's House" group exists to support VCP.

VCP was founded by vets, to serve every type of Veteran facing every type of problem. VCP Outreach Centers and VCP Villages exist (or soon will) in six US cities. Check out their website, or better yet sign up for a tour. VCP is getting it right... with respect, community, commitment, and more than a little ingenuity.

For John Joseph Smythe

John J. Smythe was a person of compassion and care. After his service to our country and state in the Missouri Army National Guard, John encountered many challenges. Yet he always felt a bond with his fellow Veterans, and offered friendship, hope and help in spite of his own struggles. In his last months of life, John gained clarity and made a plan to spend his life serving military Veterans in need. Our hope is that we, John’s family and friends, can help him fulfill his mission. Our goal is to raise funds to sponsor a Veteran's tiny home in St. Louis. Please help us honor John and all of the Veterans who have answered the call to serve our country.
